Getting Ready to Begin Our Adventures

We have been spending the first two short weeks together getting to know each other and settling in. We have also been preparing parents and students for our daily adventures outside. Unfortunately, we do not have a forest on our school property. We have started to create an outdoor classroom and we have many small nature spaces with some trees to explore on our school yard and connecting park. Once a month we hope to walk to a forest trail and spend a couple of hours in the forest.

We will be daily starting each day outside exploring our nature spaces or spending time in our outdoor classroom. Our first day is tomorrow! I am both excited and nervous.
